Value Insight

Value Insight is a web-based tool that runs on the same platform as our mapping product Community Insight. It enables subscribers to understand, measure and map the social impact of their community investment activities and their impact on the local economy.

Set up your programmes and projects, set targets and then upload your results – all in a structured, yet simple, user-friendly way. Value Insight automatically applies relevant values from the Social Value Bank to your results to assess and measure the social impact of your community investment.

  • Design

Test different project ideas and think about the key principles for  good evaluation, right from the start.

  • Analyse

Data visualisations, including mapping, allow you to quickly see which projects are producing value over time.

  • Report

Automatically generate reports by area, programme, or for the whole organisation.

Procurement Toolkit

Housing providers are expected to deliver more than ever before, but with less resource. Many are now turning to the supply chain to generate social value, but both housing providers and contractors have some key questions:

  • How can we effectively and efficiently drive social value through the supply chain?
  • What do we need to know to be sure we are compliant with regulation and legislation?
  • How should we price social value within contracts?
  • How can we robustly evaluate the social value that is generated through the supply chain, both at tender and at contract management stages?

This new toolkit is user-friendly and easy to navigate, with step by step guidance, detailed guidance on relevant legislation, and an extensive Tool Bank, containing examples, templates, checklists and resources that cover the life cycle of the procurement process.

  • ‘In practice’ sessions

These will be run by HACT, co-delivered by one of the organisations that have already adopted the approach. Come along for an opportunity to see how these organisations are practically adopting it in their business. Please get in touch with
